Q. Is your site secure?
Yes it is! By protecting the security of your information during transmission by encrypting the information you have provided and transmitted to us, also you can be sure that during the payment process, your details are encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
Q. Is your Site based in the UK and registered Company in the UK?
We definitely are! Our secure site is managed daily and monitored by UK Staff with offices in the UK (see our contact details). Our company registration number is OC08947544 and can be verified at Companies House.
Q. Can you deliver anywhere?
Most certainly anywhere in Mainland UK and most of Europe! We are unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes and certain countries where we cannot guarantee the status of recipients. But if you are in doubt whether we can deliver to you, please feel free to get in touch, we are here to help.
Q. Are your products authentic?
Yes they are! We are an authorised stockist of all the brands we feature and sell on our website. They are sourced directly from the brands and we guarantee every item to be 100% authentic. What you are buying from us are true items manufactured by the respective branded company. In short, we do not sell copies!
Q. I need more product information before I buy
If you would like more information on any of our shoes such as accurate width of a specific style you like but are unsure if it will fit or be suitable to your child’s needs, ie: arch support etc. please contact us and we will be happy to assist you further by sending you as much information as we can provide including photos of the shoes. Nothing is too much trouble.
Q. How do I know which items are in stock?
All items shown on the website are in stock unless we specify that it is "out of stock" .
Q. Can I pre-order items?
If you want to buy a size or style that has ‘out of stock’ marked against it, please contact us and we will do our very best to get more. Also, even if we do not sell the size you want, it is possible to order what you require as a special order – there is usually no extra charge for this service unless you are ordering a much bigger size as prices increase slightly on larger size shoes. We will let you know the price beforehand and we will wait for you to confirm all details before ordering. You will receive an email from us when the size or style you require becomes available, or when your order has arrived. A minimum of £5.00 deposit will be required per pair when pre-ordering.
Q. You donate £2.00 per pair to Affiliate Schools, am I being charged for this?
Absolutely NOT! The £2.00 donated per pair to our Affiliate schools comes from our own profit and never added to the price you pay. Our shoes are priced according to RRP (Recommended Retail Price) set by each branded manufacturer. We may reduce the price slightly to be competitive and we may offer discounts but this is based on our own business ethics. The donation we provide to schools on our Affiliate Scheme is a way of saying “thank you” to parents and the schools who are supporting us. It is truly a remarkable way of unique Marketing where the winners are the parents & schools and not the Ad Agency!
Q. Can I try before we buy?
Of course you can! We understand that buying shoes online for your child can be quite daunting and the uncertainty that the shoes might not fit. This is why we have extensive information on our Fitting Guide to make sure you order the correct size. You are more than welcome to come for a fitting service just contact us and make an appointment! Please have a look at our fitting schedule for days & times you can come for fitting. It doesn’t matter if you are not local to us, if you are happy to drive to us we are very happy to see you!
Q. Are the Discount & Voucher Code Valid only Online?
Not at all. It is also valid and will apply if you came for fitting service and bought the shoes from our premises. Furthermore, if your school is one of our Affiliate schools, they will still receive the £2.00 donation for the purchase you made so you are not losing out on any of the benefits we are currently offering online.
Q. The Voucher Code did not work, what shall I do?
If for any reason the voucher code you entered on the box provided did not work, please contact us immediately and we will rectify the problem. It is likely a technical error on our website that we can easily fix within minutes so please don’t be discouraged. We are only a phone call or an email away from you! Note: Voucher Codes are case sensitive so please enter exactly as shown.

Q. Am I being charged with VAT?
About VAT Tax – VAT stands for Value Added Tax and the current UK rate is 20%. VAT is a tax that you pay when you buy goods in the European Union (EU) including UK. However, VAT does not apply to children’s clothing, shoes, and books. Where it does apply, VAT is already included in the price of the goods, not added at checkout. Since Shoes for School Ltd sells children’s shoes, there is no VAT on any of the shoes we are selling on our website.
Q. Do I have to pay VAT if I am based outside UK & the European Union?
Purchases made and delivered to customers who live outside UK and the European Union do not have to pay VAT. As stated above, there is no VAT applicable to children’s shoes.
